Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how DayOut Atlas uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have. Last updated: September 2026.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. “Similar technologies” include browser local storage. Some are essential; others are optional and only run with your consent.
What we use
- Strictly necessary — a small cookie that remembers your cookie choices, and standard WordPress cookies if you log in as an administrator. These are always active and don’t need consent.
- Local storage (necessary, on your device only) — we save your favourite places and trip plans in your browser’s local storage so they’re there when you return. This never leaves your device and is not shared with us or anyone else. Clear it any time via your browser.
- Analytics (optional, planned) — if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics help us understand aggregate, anonymous usage. Only set with your consent.
- Advertising (optional, planned) — if we introduce ads (e.g. Google AdSense), advertising cookies may be used. Only set with your consent, and you can withdraw it any time.
Third-party embeds
Some pages embed third-party content — booking widgets (TourRadar, Travelpayouts/Aviasales), interactive maps, and web fonts. When these load, the third party may set its own cookies or receive your IP address, under its own policy. Where consent is required, these are loaded only after you agree.
Managing your choices
Use the cookie banner shown on your first visit — accept all, reject non-essential, or choose per category. You can reopen it any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may then not work.
